Florida State begins commitment to WaveFrame/7 with great success!
FSU, a long time WaveFrame
6 customer with several in their academic program, recently took delivery
of their first WaveFrame/7 system.
Says Chuck Allen,
a faculty member who uses WaveFrame everyday, "Overall the WaveFrame/7 system
has stood up 100%. It handled anything us nut cases could do to it! Not even
a whimper, and not a single hint of trouble, even I couldn't crash it. I got
into the parametric and got out some camera and room noises that I couldn't
get at with anything else in our arsenal.
"This system is definitely
leaps and bounds more stable than version 6. I can't wait until I can swing
a whole house upgrade to these. We're now planning ahead for the need to integrate
our ADR/Foley and dubbing stages while editing continues.
"Miami's PBS station
is shooting a documentary on the Film School starting tomorrow. You just can't
go anywhere in the sound department without seeing a WaveFrame around here!
"The tally for this
latest run was 30 reels edited/sound designed and dubbed in 4 weeks, 800 to
900 tracks - 3 features! And one of our MFA thesis films from last year, "Daughter",
has been entered at Cannes in general competition. It was cut and dubbed in
Dolby surround from WaveFrame."
