Lucid Audio Converters Offered with WaveFrame Systems
September
22 (Los Angeles) - WaveFrame announced today at the 109th Audio Engineering
Society Convention in Los Angeles that the company has entered into a partnership
with Lucid to make the Lucid line of I/O Converters available through its
dealer channel for use with their WaveFrame/7 and FrameWorks/DX Digital Audio
Workstations.
WaveFrame President Ron Franklin said "WaveFrame is pleased to be working with Lucid to deliver their very high quality converters to our customers. We have tested the combination and it works very well to deliver a pristine signal path through the system. This provides an excellent value for WaveFrame customers." The company will offer Lucid's ADA 8824 ADAT I/O for use with WaveFrame's 16 channel Digital Optical I/O. Two units may be used together for 16 channel I/O. Each unit delivers 8 channels of AES/EBU I/O plus 8 channels of 24-bit, 48kHz Analog I/O (A/D/A conversion) via optical digital connection to WaveFrame systems. Setup for the unit can be done via special software from the WaveFrame workstation. WaveFrame will also offer the Lucid 9624 A/D and D/A converters for working with audio at 96kHz, 24-bit resolution.
According
to Lucid's VP of Sales, Steve Kawasaki, "We're excited to partner with WaveFrame
by providing our Lucid converters to WaveFrame's customers. WaveFrame's systems
are used around the world in major post production and music projects - the
kind of demanding audio environments for which we designed the Lucid converters."
WaveFrame announced immediate availability for Lucid converters for their
FrameWorks/DX system. Lucid converters will be available for WaveFrame/7 when
it is released in December 2000.
