Takes Delivery
of WaveFrame/7 Systems
Commits to new WF/7 systems, upgrades of existing units
April 26, 2001 EMERYVILLE,
CA – WaveFrame announced at the 2001 NAB show in Las Vegas that the well-respected
Tattersall-Casablanca post production facility in Toronto, Canada has taken
delivery of four new WaveFame/7 systems. The company has also committed to
upgrading five of their existing WaveFrame 408+ units to the new WaveFrame/7
system. The sale of the new systems was handled by Sonotechnique, WaveFrame’s
Canadian distributor.
Tattersall-Casablanca is one of the largest motion picture sound editorial
and mixing facilities in Canada and routinely handles editorial and dub mixing
for major film productions. According to Chief Engineer David McCallum, “We
have been working with WaveFrame’s systems for many years now and find them
especially well suited to the demands of film and television post production.
The new WaveFrame/7 systems have already proven to be a great addition here
and offer expanded capabilities not available on any other system. We’re pleased
to continue our relationship with WaveFrame and look forward to adding even
more systems as our needs grow.:

About WaveFrame/7: WaveFrame’s new WaveFrame/7 workstation is based
on a new DSP platform running on the Windows 2000 operating system and offers
up to 32 channels of 24-bit full bandwidth digital audio playback and recording.
The system is available with various configurations of digital audio I/O,
including ADAT, AES/EBU, and MADI. WaveFrame/7 features the well known WaveFrame
editing interface along with special post production tools such as an integrated
media database, auto-assembly, machine control, and an ADR/Foley mode.
