WaveFrame Announces Availability of New V6.5 Software

Las Vegas (April, 1999)- WaveFrame, Inc. announced at the 1999 NAB Convention in Las Vegas that the company is now shipping a new software upgrade that significantly enhances the power and utility of WaveFrame digital audio workstations. The V6.5 upgrade includes a number of new features, including long file name support for import/export of all file formats, import/export of the Broadcast WAVE file format, a MIDI time code output, recording on 8 tracks for each SCSI bus, and support for the new E-mu sampler card option. An included third party support plug-in links WaveFrame 6.2 to mSoft's Server Sound sound effects servers.

New editing features in V6.5 include reversing regions, which allows a designated section of one track to play in reverse while all other tracks and regions play in the forward direction. "Version 6.5 keeps WaveFrame at the forefront of digital audio production for film and video," states Dave Van Hoy of Advanced Systems Group, WaveFrame's exclusive distributor. "This new software package lets WaveFrame users add mixing and sampling capabilities, access more sounds and seamlessly integrate their WaveFrame workstations into tomorrow's all-digital production suites."

Version V6.5 software for WaveFrame is available immediately, and is compatible with WaveFrame/StudioFrame systems 401 and later. Price for users upgrading from V6.2 is $250, with the cost for users of earlier versions set at $750.
